Guidelines and Safeguarding Advice for Self-isolation

The Blackdown Support Group is an independent charity working within the Blackdown GP practice.  Volunteers provide the following:

  • Transport to and from appointments with doctors, opticians,  dentists and hospital
  • Transport to local social events so that clients can keep in touch with friends

  • Luncheon and tea clubs in different places within the area

  • Short term loan of wheelchairs

  • Footcare

  • Advocacy, help with form filling

  • A specially converted vehicle for hire capable of carrying a wheelchair-bound passenger and one other, plus a driver
